Job Summary: The Environmental Technician assists with completing all field tasks, including mobilization, sampling materials in the field, oversight of subcontractors in the field, documentation of field procedures, and any related tasks in support of field efforts. The Environmental Technician also prepares documents (figures, tables, text, email correspondence, etc.) to describe and/or present results.


  • Mobilize and maintain field equipment.

  • Conduct field work, sample collection, sample delivery, document sampling procedures.

  • Receive and review analytical data, assemble tables, figures (with assistance from staff GIS and AutoCAD Technicians).

  • Prepare summary text of sampling procedures and analytical results.

  • Assist in the preparation of conclusions and recommendations in written and verbal form.

  • Assist project manager and Director of Environmental Services with research of field equipment, procedures and means/methods in support of field work.

Bachelor’s degree in Geology Required.

Minimum 2-5 years of field geology and soil, water, air testing experience required.

Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, understanding of GES health, safety and security standards, completion of OSHA HAZWOPER training, ability to work independently, valid driver’s license.
