PVE, LLC is proud to announce that Project BEST, a construction industry labor-management organization in the Upper Ohio Valley, has selected Wheeling Hospital Continuous Care Center for award recognition.

The Wheeling Hospital Continuous Care Center was achieved in conjunction with the architectural services of Stantec, an international multi-disciplinary design and construction firm. Stantec contracted PVE for general consulting and civil engineer services as they related to the construction of a 144-bed Continuous Care Center on a topographically and geophysically challenging site, adjacent the existing Wheeling Hospital. PVE provided the initial feasibility study, conceptual and schematic site design, grading and earthwork assessment accommodating adverse soil conditions, stormwater management BMPs, campus wide infrastructure expansion/design/routing strategies, full construction documentation, and construction administration.

The project utilized local contractors and required constant coordination between PVE, Stantec, and Wheeling Hospital representatives. The scale of the project and subsequent economic stimulus that it generated in the Ohio River Valley attracted the attention of Project BEST.
