Jim established PVE in 1999 and has grown the company from a small two-person office in Pittsburgh to a large-scale, nationwide, multi-disciplined architecture and engineering firm with a team of nearly 200. As CEO and Managing Principal, Jim oversees the firm’s operations and company resources, leading strategic decisions that leverage the company’s overall growth. His innovative management, hands-on executive approach, and results-oriented visionary style continually move the firm toward higher technology, improve processes and procedures, and drive revenue and efficiency. Under Jim’s leadership, PVEDI has developed a solid reputation for providing high-quality engineering and architectural services across the country.

Jim attended The Pennsylvania State University as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience as a licensed professional engineer. Still an active member of PVEDI’s Civil + Land Development Team, Jim’s key areas of focus include management of private land development projects and representation for municipalities. His work includes technical design, layout, and grading for large commercial, industrial, and residential land development projects, municipal public works projects, stormwater management, water and sewer systems, and parks and recreation facilities.

In addition to supporting the Civil + Land Development Team, Jim is also motivated to lead and continue expanding PVEDI’s operations nationwide as the CEO.
