Jim established PVE in 1999 and has grown the company from a small two-person office in Pittsburgh to a large-scale, nationwide, multi-disciplined architecture and engineering firm with a team of nearly 200. As CEO and Managing Principal, Jim oversees the firm’s operations and company resources, leading strategic decisions that leverage the company’s overall growth. His innovative management, hands-on executive approach, and results-oriented visionary style continually move the firm toward higher technology, improve processes and procedures, and drive revenue and efficiency. Under Jim’s leadership, PVEDI has established a solid reputation for delivering high-quality engineering and architectural services nationwide.

Jim attended The Pennsylvania State University as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience as a licensed professional engineer. Still an active member of PVEDI’s Civil + Land Development Team, Jim’s key areas of focus include managing private land development projects and representing municipalities. His work encompasses technical design, layout, and grading for large-scale commercial, industrial, and residential land development projects, as well as municipal public works projects, stormwater management, water and sewer systems, and parks and recreation facilities.

In addition to supporting the Civil + Land Development Team, Jim is also motivated to lead and continue expanding PVEDI’s operations nationwide as the CEO.
